Are we being forced into Reckoning?

So the mmo-champion talent calculator has been updated for the 3.1 test realm. It says we need to take 5 points in Reckoning to get Ardent Defender.

While the Protection tree looks incomplete (since there is no other tier 1 talent), are we in trouble if we are forced to spec Reckoning?
WoW is not Facebook or Myspace. Protest RealID by putting this everywhere.

I haven't been on the PTR yet, though it could just be a mistake.

I'm on the PTR and no you dont have to be 5/5 reckoning for AD

Thank goodness. Is there anything on tier 1 besides Divine Strength?

Divinity, new Protection talent: Tier 1 Protection talent, increases healing done by and to you by 1/2/3/4/5%.


Not implemented yet, but it should be going in in a future build of the PTR. :D

For the 10,000th time:

3rd party talent calculators (heck, even Blizzard's calculator) are notoriously unreliable for accuracy during PTRs. They should be used as a tool for playing with known information, not as a source of information themselves.

It's just not there yet.


Okay, I will rewrite my comment.

Why would they introduce another Tier 1 musthave for most of the specs after removing a Tier 1 musthave for most specs.
Whatever, discussions lead to nothing.^^

Divinity would not be a must-have for any spec....it's a pretty weak talent all in all. Specifically, my bet is that most PvE Holy Pallies won't put more than 2 points in Divinity, because they'll value 1% crit over 1% healing and still put 18 points in Ret. Similarly, while some Prot builds may have Divinity maxxed out, I expect many builds to only have some or no points in it. The build I'm looking at right now has either 0 or 2 points in Div.

I just can't trust holy pallys on my server obviously...
