I seem to have incredible difficulty soloing the Anubisaths in Ossyrian's room. They want to decide to meteor me and its all downhill from there. Anyone have any tips to getting these bastards dead?

Fire resist aura is a must .. judge and seal light, sacred shield, should be more than enough to keep you up. Adds will take care of your mana.

otherwise kill them before they can kill you. they have about 60k hp, they should easily die before they can cast their third meteor.

Got a general question regarding AQ20, actually.

How the )#$# did you get past the first trash-pull? :p Burst the last two down at the same time or something? Thinking about the four-mob pull, where the last one alive gets an aura that heals him for 4k every 3 seconds.

aq20 != aq40

as a single protection paladin, you have to reset that pack by leaving the instance, so the depending pack will get a new set of abilities.

The OP talked about Ossirian, who resides in the Ruins of Ahn´Qiraj.

I never did this at 60 so I have to look it up each time :)

Oops, you´re right. I thought AQ40 went instance portal -> cave, but it seems there´s an outdoor bit first. My bad. My question remains :D

As others said, FR aura is the key here. Wearing just my default trash tanking set, the Meteors hit for 12k on average. Turning on the resistance aura reduces this to 6k on average. Judging light and using seal of wisdom, I was able to dps them down before they could kill me.

Without the aura, I can still kill them, but the margin is much closer, and may require cooldowns / LoH.

aye, I was able to clear the trash to Skeram a few weeks ago.

I'm not absolutely sure if resetting will have them reroll their abilities, but if I remember correctly at least the anubisath guys before the Twin Emps gained new abilities after a wipe..

you won't be able to kill Skeram alone ( managed to get on the stairs next/behind him, maybe you can skip him at clvl 80), so I suppose you are farming mounts/reputation. resetting the first pack should be the most effective way to do this.

FR aura did it for me, it also might have been getting new gear, because I had literally no problems at all. Ugh though, wiping on ossyrian at 5%. the guy's a bitch and a half.

As others said, in AQ40, the anubisath mobs reset their powers after reset/wipe.

It's also probably the fastest solo method to gain Brood of Nozdormu rep to neutral ;] kill 3, then get out, get in - voilla, 4 of them again

300 rep per few minutes, surely faster than silithid carapace grind...

The weird thing about the aq40 anubisaths was that after a few minutes, one started slamming me with 5k Mortal strikes every few seconds that was impossible to avoid and heal, so I had to leave. It was strange, to say the least.
