Heroic Violet Hold boss spawn rates

I've been looking to get the talisman from Violet Hold for 3 weeks or so now to no avail, and I'm starting to wonder how the boss spawn rates look. As it is, I've run probably 20 heroic Violet Holds or so, with the doggie spawning on a grand total of two of them (of course dropping the two items I wasn't interested in). This puts this particular boss at a spawn rate of 10%. In contrast, either the water elemental or void demon seem pretty much guaranteed to show up, and not uncommonly both of them.

Are the rates of the bosses evenly distributed (16.7/16.7/16.7/16.7/16.7/16.7% for first boss, (20/20/20/20/20% for second) or are they weighted in some strange way? By observation I'd say that the rates are something like 40/40/5/5/5/5% for the first one and 60/10/10/10/10%. Here 40/40% is the void demon and water elemental, and on the second boss 60 is whoever of void and water didn't spawn the first wave. Should neither void nor water spawn as the first boss, I'd say the rates on the second wave are 40/40/10/5/5%, with the 10 beeing the psychotic birdie.

Have I just been incredibly unlucky, or are the boss rates actually skewed?

Random, not weighted. I have done H VH every day since Monday 11/17 (missed 3 days) and still not even seen one of the bosses.

I almost always get the ethereal. I get the arrakoa quite often, and I occasionally get the void or water boss. I have yet to get Levanthor.

I think it's just rng, really. Just like how I never got R&J with my Karazhan group in the... several months that we actually ran it.

indeed, random boss selection is totally random.

I've seen the water boss maybe once in the last 10 times i've run it. I almost always get the ethereal and the arrakoa -_-

Remember if you're going to try and derive a statistical breakdown of boss spawn rate, you should shoot for a much more significant sample size.

Yeah, it's random. You basically have a 33% chance to get a given boss in a given run.

I've run about 6-8 times and I have only had the revenant and arakoa once and the dog never. Lots of the void guy, and he is rough on people who have no idea what's going on.

Going to slowly keep trying. 25 min isn't bad for 3 badges, and it's right there.

Got the trinket the other day after about 8 times with the dog boss, first time I had seen it drop and I was tanking that run so.. win.

Always get water boss lately, hate it with a passion.

I seemb to always win annoying bosses. Water, Voidwalker and Ethereum are pretty standard for me.

finally got the lockdown completed...but the birdman was very elusive! doggy and etheral was always on the alert for getting out of jail...got them almost every time

I have never seen the corehound boss in about 15-20 runs. I imagine that once I do see him he will drop something other than the damn trinket I need.

However, I have also never seen the ethereal boss. I am quite ok with this!
