[N] Nexus for a santa hat?
Ok, I just want to conduct a sanity check (we all need them
) on this idea.
There are three bosses drop hats:
Mage boss Nexus
Jegoda Shadosong, AK
Some boss in Oculus
I belive they have a chance to drop in normal isnstances (correct me if i'm wrong)
Therefore is it possible to just grab some guildies and spam nexus: in, mageboss, out, reset, repeat.
what do you think?

Seems like wowhead hasn't been updated yet. Yeah, it dropped off second or third boss in Oculus last night.
Might be worth farming Nexus on normal, shouldn't take more than 10 minutes (so you don't get locked out anyway) up to the boss and out again.

I used to play a paladin.

Messing about in santa gear and one Winter Veil achievement.
Telestra in the Nexus drops 100% the red hat also at normal, yesterday I've grabbed our prot war and we 2menned it quite easily.
Might be soloable and someone soloed her already, but I just didn't want to risk with a caster that split in 3, sheep and mess about, we both wanted it and together we had 2 nice, fast and clean runs
Maybe 20 minutes for both runs, including fun, loughs and some stupid extra aggro when I popped the gnome trinkets for augurial gnomes sacrificing.

mm, in a chunk of Naxx25 gear but I soloed her on normal mode pretty easily. Had to bubble to get her clones to close in after a time stop though (and to heal a bit).
Just glad most the people who care about achievements kept their hats from last year in my guild

can easily be solo'd by a prot pally, especially a belf because of arcane torrent. just have decent gear and know when to use your bubble. also, good to know that she only splits up once on normal mode ^^
EDIT: remember, at 80 the mobs will be almost all grey to you in normal mode, and yes the hat is a 100% drop from the grand magus even in normal.

I got a hat last year out of Botanica, so no biggie for my pally. But now that I've done all the stuff I can, I want to start on my priest, who was maybe 60 last winter. Pugs are frequently fail.
Also, I want to see a Death Knight running around as "the Merrymaker".

Remove the prolly, is 100% doable. You can even solo her, as stated above.

Soloed her in normal with less gear than is currently in my sig. Easy enough to do, I did it SoL/JoW and Fire Aura, kill the arcane add first, as that's the one that critters.
