Want to burn through 5 man heroics?

Bring a shaman, why you ask?

The new shaman hex cc is the most OP cc ever. Incase you don't know it will turn the enemy into a frog that still takes damage and doesn't break the cc. Also it seems to be up for every pull. I didn't look up the specifics of this skill but in my run last night it was amazing....and I only had one shaman.

Does this work with multiple shaman? I can just imagine the AoE pulls I could do if I didn't have to worry about being beat on.

I'm gonna try and run a 4 shaman + me tanking tonight to see if I can pull twice as many mobs. Maybe 3 shaman and a dk?

It's basically fear, except your target doesn't go running everywhere and pulling the whole instance. It has a chance to break on damage, though, just like fear. And yes, it's got to be considered the strongest CC in the game right now (for humanoids and beasts).

Instead of "like fear without running around", I see it as a stun with a long albeit random duration. There's just no reason not to drop this on a pull, heck, I don't even complain if the skull gets it (once the pull's done).

Shamans - the better mages...

Dunno, I don't have to sit down to mooch off the mana spring totem!

But I do <3 Strudel. What, tanks need calories.

A shaman can cc, offheal, anhk and rez. With blessing of sanct I hardly ever run out of mana. I would pick a shaman over a mage, but both would be good in any group.

The shaman also brings 4 totems, wears mail, and has two counterspells. I'm very fond of mages, but blizzard heavily favours the hybrids in the BC and WotlK incarnations of the game.

Well the only disadvantage is that hex has a 30 duration with a 45 second cooldown.

But then again if 30 seconds isn't enough for you to kill 1-2 adds in the trash set for it to become a problem then your group have other issues.

I do enjoy the company of my guild's token shaman. I prefer when he's elemental because that's where he shines, but the recent cut in healers has caused him to go resto which his catching up in pretty quickly too.

I just wish he and tankadin2's ardent defender death avoid announcer would stop being such good friends.

It also is ranged at only 20 yards, which means you can't pull with the hex. But who'd want to, anyway?

Sorry to say this,

but if you want to burn through heroics, don't use CC.

That's the point of the frog. It's an über stun, not an "omg don't touch this mob!!!"-CC.

The point of this is that Hex lets you do harder pulls with less downtime because it's effectively a stun. Thus you can really burn through.
