Tanking as ret

I don't "want" to tank as ret (not as a goal anyway), it's just more convenient as I'll still be efficient when soloing, without having to respec back and forth.

Anyway, when I'm at 235 def I'll go prot for heroics.

That's the cap for heroics, isn't it ?

Afraid not. Can´t remember the exact number for heroics, but against a lvl 83 you need 540, so something like 535?

540 = Level 83 mobs
535 = Level 82 mobs
530 = Level 81 mobs
525 = Level 80 mobs
