Start saving your mats.
Um, what? In all the time of 40-man Naxx the only person who NEVER wore frost resist was the tank.

Okay, so im up against Sapphiron 10 man later this evening. Got told that i should get myself crafted the 3 set of FrR set with the ring as optional. But what you are saying is that as a tank i shouldn\'t wear resist gear at all? Just stay in my normal UC gear?

Yes, dont need frost resistance, at all.\
Don't put the pally aura on either, go with <100 frost res and get an achievement along with the kill.

We did it with just MotW on 10 man - it's very very easy and shouldn't be at all neccesary, as for 25 man... WTB more lvl 80s?
Probably the worst named paladin ever.

Since it's a one tank fight we just dropped me and brought in an extra healer in my place. (10 man)

Tanked her yesterday with ease (10 man) using only the Frost resistance aura from paladins.
Next time we're going without to get the achievement, this fight is really easy tbh. The only "difficulty" is the retardcheck of being able to get behind iceblocks, which is REALLY easy :p
She does hit like a truck though, saw my HP jumping up and down really fast through the whole fight.

Just tanked Saph-10 with no Frost gear and no heroic/naxx drops, 2 healers. I think one person in raid had FR?
Burst down once, couple of other wipes to various things (buggy cleave, shit positioning, etc). Hits WAY harder than anything else. Third healer or some actual heroic tanking gear would be nice, but it can be done first week in with 2 healers.

We one shotted this boss in a pug (10) last night.
The does not need frost resistance.
This boss is easy, the only hard part is to go behind the ice block and to stay away from blizzard so the healers don't have to do so much.
Free loot.

FrR Not needed...
No, you do not in fact need FrR. I tanked Saph just fine last night and aside from the aura damage, most of Sapph's damage to a tank will be his swings and cleaves.
The fight is simply a test of your healer's endurance as well as your raid's coordination.

We got by with just Frost Resist Aura, I think with a smidge more gear we can do ven without that.
Your tank needs tank gear she can hit hard.

sapphiron has became a sissy compared to the good old 40man version. I loved the old fight even with its bugs.. Only one sided ice blocks.. Love the panic of the raid and the death of 20 man in an instant . Funny.
in the 10er version of the boss we just said: hey lets have a trie and one shooted her.. Same in the 25er .. It was a bit of a disappointment..
Up until now only PW was a bit of a challenge. >:

Well, we did find it hard on the first three to four attempts the last night (no one has seen him before aside from the tank(as a prev. dd) and a dd(as a prev. healer) so it was new to 80% of the people.
Your Raid needs to get a grip on how to avoid the Blizzards and then you should be fine. Druids are Great to counter the Aura, Priests are just as fine. Next ID i hope we have more time to challenge him.
