WotLK Progression Gear (70-80 gear guide)

You listed the Leggings of Forceful Purification in Phase 2, a quest reward from Ursoc, the Bear God. According to wowhead, there's also a pretty nice shield from that quest (looks like you can get both):
Bulwark of the Tormented God
Of course wowhead could be broken, but it seems like it should be in the list, anyhow.

Which oddly enough offers 4 tanking weapons (1 is a drood staff, however) that appear to be halfway decent items.
Can anyone tell me how to get this quest? I'm level 75, did all the other 3 waned quests but there is no new quest for me at the inn and wowhead lists the inn as the place to pick it up. Are there other quests that I need to do first or maybe pick up the quest elsewhere? I would really like a new weapon since I'm still using the suneater

Yeah I did that quest the other day and picked up both. When I wrote the guide that shield was defiantly not included in the wowhead database.

Thanks to reading about it in this thread, I just soloed Ursoc the Bear God (at level 73) and got myself the shield and pants, replacing my Felsteel and SSO gear. I've come out with 515 defense, more than enough to keep me uncrittable for a while longer.
The fight is a little annoying, took me ten minutes to burn him down, but I was at 100% health until the furbolg (in treeform) ran out of mana, and then for the last 10% I had to pay attention and eventually LoH.
Long, slow fight, and it takes a lot of questing to unlock, but rewards are definately worth the effort if your gear isn't that great.

I found http://www.wowhead.com/?item=37796 (Earthbound Cape) in the AH and promptly bought it. Seems to be a drop. Requires lvl 72.
A JC-friend of mine also crafted a green lvl 77 tanking ring, which I can't recall the name of. Green ring and an upgrade for those of us who didn't run any raids in Outland.

That ring would be the Stoneguard Band (which I myself wear). The next JC tanking ring is the Ring of Earthen Might (recipe from token vendor), and finally the epic ring which was listed in the first post, Titanium Earthguard. Note that the blue-quality ring doesn't have any Defence on it, just dodge and bonus armour.
