You were unlucky, I logged on at 10.20pm UK time last night only to be amazed to find half my guildmates in Borean Tundra - all those who pre-ordered from Amazon got it yesterday and were able to cruise througha relatively deserted BT.

There was some severe QQing in trade chat from those who didnt order from Amazon!

So last minute thing I decide to go to a BestBuy and get there at 11:40. To my surprise there were a good 50 people in line! So my hope of getting a Collector Edition where rapidly diminishing... Dammit... Just maybe maybe they would still have some once I got inside...

Finally the line moved, I went inside, get to the table... Hi, do you have the Collectors Edition? Nope...Sold Out! ~ Frak! uh should I leave or get the regular one.... I stick it out a bit on the line.... Then this lady goes back to the spot where they had the wotlk boxes (table) and hands a Collectors Edition to an employee... I'm like wth is he doing since he was waving it around... I guess he's going to give it to the first person who asked him if there were CE still left...Wth he's still waving it around (just a phew seconds) Let me go ask! Hey is that the CE version? "Yeah" Ok I'll take it! I'll take it!! and I did perhaps before anyone noticed that he was offering it to them! (to the people who where in front of me in the line) Oh snap, real life nija!
