Idea to fix Reckoning

Has anyone suggested to change Reckoning in a Way like this:

Each time you take damage, you have a 2/4/6/8/10% chance allowing the use of Hammer of Wrath regardless of the target's health state. Lasts 5 seconds.

I haven't seen much talk about the talent the last weeks, but it is still a broken talent, especially with SoV now.

That'd be pretty OP, wouldn't it? Just look at the Execute spamming of Warriors.

I wouldn't take it. It would be a pvp talent.
HoW is not that good: It takes mana, a GCD and is not that much more threat than the ability it replaces (our GCDs are all spent when we hit 75).

Better make Reckoning deal those extra strikes in holy damage and proc on avoids (parries).

Thats really a great idea, the only issue i can see is having a second "proc from avoidance". While the two aren't directly related, its not ideal from a design stance. That said, short on alternatives that aren't already in use.

Or make SoV do more damage once it is at 5 stacks rather than the ~5 holy damage it does now.

Reckoning.

Every time you dodge or parry an attack you have a 20/40/60/80/100% chance to instantly counter attack the enemy dealing 20% of weapon damage as holy damage.

This one is really nice, would be so good. But first one is kinda op and I agree about beeing pvp talent. We need our GCD for other stuffs. :)

I kinda like it, it introduces a bit of unpredictability to our tanking. As it is our rotation is pretty set and this would warrant some choices when it procs. I do agree with Noradin though that in its current form it's not really worth it. Maybe if it gained a damage modifier or reduced mana cost (free :)) though it could work.

Ya, while our rotation is a little less active and involved that others, the fact that its a fixed rotation rather than a priority order would make it very difficult to combine with a reactive proc. You couldn't push the rotation back and expect an increase, and sliding it in around the various cooldowns would be needlessly unpleasant.

Random Proc chances really aren't great...

Perhaps just having reckoning on a cooldown where next 4 attacks do X Additional Holy Damage modified by [AP] + [SP]

Reckoning- 20/40/60/80/100%: When you parry your opponents attack, Chance to activate Reckoning.

From the Spellbook:

Reckoning (rank 1): Instantly deals holy damage equal to 30% of your weapon damage. Does not share GCD with other spells and abilities. This ability cannot activate more than once every 8 Seconds.

:) Overpower not on GCD lol.
