Actually, page 2-3 features a brief discussion about windfury balancing in pvp versus pve.

Is this affecting level 80 weapons, level 71+ weapons or the items not usable by level 80 players? I haven't seen either in this thread or the official forums one whether it is possible to still use stones/oils on weapons in the 71-79 range.
Using Psiven's weapon tps spreadsheet, the 170ap oil adds roughly 90tps which increases the tps of Eternally Folded Blade to that of an ilvl 200-213 epic melee dps weapon.
On the bright side if only usable on lvl 70 weapons at 80, it prolongs the life of your current weapon in Naxx10/25 even though they still look to be usable.

One of these days they'll make a raid in kalimdor thats not on the other side of the contient for you guys.
Pre-BC many of the instances and raids were as close, if not closer, to stormwind and ironforge.
On the topic, I still think it's a bad choice. I see it as decreasing customization more than making raids cheaper.

My mage tended to get the exciting option to choose between superior and brilliant wizard oil, the net difference was probably 2 dps, for some wierd reason blizzard designed the lower level brilliant one to be better.
My priest just went with superior mana oil.
I don't really see where the customization was.

Bells and whistles makes the world go 'round. There's a reason vanity pets are in the game and all. This isn't much different.

Hmm, it would be really interesting if they added new weapon oils that had no mechanical effect whatsoever but added cool visual/sound effects to the weapon.
