Dual specing prot prot

Anyone else planning on having two differnet prot builds for their dual spec? I dont like healing, and ret DPS doesnt blow my skrit up compared to prot DPS in DPS gear so I think I'm going to have two specs of prot. One more for trash, and one for bosses

this build i left out thunder judge and gaurded by the light. I also picked up kings and put 20 points in ret. tweaking might be involved though.

I considered it but honestly the cost would be silly to waste on a trash spec vs. a boss spec. Really the best use for the dual-spec is to fill two distinct roles. Trash tanking isn't different enough from boss tanking that I would waste the spec on it.

I didn't think it'd be possible to have a duel longer than 2 holy paladins/shamans/druids/priests going at each other.

This is pretty much a terrible idea no matter how you slice it.

Trash tanking isn't difficult enough to warrant its own spec, even if they were different.

You could throw on Prot gear as Holy spec and tank trash if you had to.

I considered going AoE/boss tanking specs, but decided there wouldn't eally be much difference between them anyway. Not sure where I'll go with mine. (My mage will probably be Frost/Frost, though, heh.)

the tank/tank dual spec idea is more for a DK than a pally. they can spec into some nice aoe talents, zombie raising, body exploding etc etc in the unholy tree and back into frost for boss tanking. i have no idea on dk talent trees though, i always want to take 20 points into all trees them i'm all like aww wtf do i do now.

not a bad idea too. I just know i wont go holy, and ret doesnt seem like THAT much more DPS when soloing since i pull large groups of mobs when I farm. The biggest thing for me though is the avengers shield glyph and some other talents that are only good vs single target.

Even with the nerfs, Ret IS THAT much more DPS.

TBH, Priest vs. Priest isn't bad.. the first one to manaburn the other out of mana wins.
