MT'ing archi possible?
Would I be capable of MT'ing Archimonde for a progression kill?
Unbuffed, I have 16.3K health, 17.3K armor, 57% avoidance not including block. (armory has me logged out in vanity gear)
Or, would this warrior be better for the fight as a progression kill?

I'd argue that because of fears, a warrior will always be a little bit better. You are capable however.

Those fearwards would be better spent elsewhere. It's completely doable, but when you have an equally geared warrior, you remove one difficulty from the equation. What advantage would you be bringing in this case?

Doable.
Make sure you have a tremor totem as a backup, and maybe a PvP trinket as a backup-backup.
I tanked him a couple of times in 2.4, but they weren't progression kills.

Really good point.
Given how fast Tremor works now, and the fact that you don't lose aggro when feared, I'd consider going without the FW rotation - put FW on the holy paladins/priests.

In several strats I've read though, they all say that it's imperitive that I don't move at all.

Why is that? Our tanks moves all the time to get out of doomfires. You don't want to just stand in one if you don't have too. Archie has an unbelievably huge hit box as well.

Can't think why.
Don't stand in FIAR - but rotate rather than backpedal to get out of it.
Being feared 10 yards thataway is a non-issue. Feel free to run the boss back again if he moved more than 5-10 yards.

A) If you are feared, you are not avoiding hits.
B) During fears, you will also possibly run away from healers in those 2-3 seconds
C) Your healers during fear will also be moved away from you
A + B + C = **tank has died**
Don't get feared, period.
Unless the warrior is too heavy undergeared (armory not working for me atm), you'd better have him tanking.

Tremor seems to be ticking for me in about half a second?
Maybe I'm imagining it.
Anyway, all the points stand. Warrior is better unless his gear is really crap. But you could do it if you have to.

Tremor ticks every 3 seconds.
You *might* be lucky and have it tick 0.5 seconds after Fear goes off, but you might also be unlucky and get it ticking 2.9 seconds after.
After doing Brutallus i tend to not trust RNG anymore.

It used to be slow - I thought they changed it recently.
If it's still 3 seconds, you'd want Fear Ward rotations.

They changed it, from 4 seconds to 3 seconds
edit: important note, Tremors are *not* raidwide

Neither are mana totems, since we're veering OT.
On-topic: 3 secs prob = dead tank for a prog-kill. Fear Wards, bubble, PvP Trink. KGO!
