Sunwell progression
Sorry if this is th ewrong place to ask - BUT
Pre 3.0 my guild was on TK and SSC, we'd killed Lurker and VR
Kara, ZA, Maggy, Grull all no farm and we was mainly gearing people to progress thru the 25 mans.
Since patch we have done Al'ar, Hydross, Winterchill, Anetheron, Naj and Supremus.
All of these without a problem and very very few wipes to talk of.
Guestimating .. and i know its a broad guess, is it worth us walking into Sunwell ??? and would we get a boss kill ???

No. Go finish BT and Hyjal. The Sunwell gear check isn't near as harsh as it once was, but the competency check is still there. Furthermore, your tanks won't be up to the task of Brutallus without, at the least, a gear level similar to mine.
In all honesty, your raid would probably be fed up with wiping before you even got to Kalecgos, and you certainly wouldn't down him.

If you didn't do any of Vashj/Kael/Council/Illidan pre-patch you very likely won't have the coordination for Sunwell, even if the gear is more forgiving.
I would recommend that you finish Hyjal/BT before you even think about Kalecgos.

was fun explaining kael fight to everyone and warning it wasn't a brute force boss, it required working together effectively, first go we wiped on weapons and everyone took notice of wot i said.
i think we have him down this week

28% on KJ
You have experience on the fights, a guild who's been in SSC/TK wont have that experience and thus will wipe because they dont have an intimate knowledge of the fight.
3/6 Sunwell Pre-Nerf.

If you just do your homework before going in it should be a problem.
Our setup was 1/3 Mains on ALT chars, 1/3 Casuals on mains or alts, 1/3 random ppl from server with decent gear and no experience.
The casuals where ppl that are in our guild but wasn't raiding progress with us, some had experience from sunwell, most didn't.
