+attackpower and +BV is far more than enough to trump most other enchants as far as I'm concerned.

This is arguably not as good as the current Potency Enchant.
Currently, potency gives 20 str.
20 * divine str (1.15) * kings (1.1) = 25.3 str
So current potency gives"
25.3*2 AP = 50.6 AP
25.3/2= 12.65 BV
Even now because Str scales with talents/kings, its better than the new potency enchant.
Frankly, I am hoping that the new enchants will be FIXED
It is unfair to classes that benefit from STR to have those types of enchants all be converted to AP instead, while AGI is still available as an enchant.

Positive modifiers don't multiply so You would only get 25 str. Still the new potentcy enchant doesn't look that appealing compared to the currentGarath.Gorefiend wrote:Nakama wrote:What you'll want, in my opinion, is Greater Potency:

Yeah i know was just doin it fast...
Doesnt matter as Blizz always truncates any fractions in their conversion calcs anyways...
Net of it is 50 AP + 12 BV >>> than 50 AP

Only on a case by case basis, but they don't throw out fractions till the end. So if you had 2 rings that gave 25 str each you would only gain 12 BV if you put one but you would gain 25 BV if you put both on rather than 24 BV.Garath.Gorefiend wrote:Doesnt matter as Blizz always truncates any fractions in their conversion calcs anyways...

BV from Str is affected by redoubt. That's where the extra BV is comming from. I didn't include it in my earlier example to keep the arguement presented simple.twinkfist wrote:went with crusader on gromtors charge on my alt prot pally.
i already had the mats and was bored out of my mind.
did notice that when it proc'd, my bv went from 388 to 433 and i got the ap from it procing..around 100 ap

I'm not a fan of casino enchants (where it procs on luck).
(Seal of Command used to be called Seal of Casino)
I rather have a stable enchant, maybe that's just me.

It's not just you. I prefer hard stats over chance any day. Could be 3 years of feral druid talking though...
1% dodge all the time > 4% dodge when you don't need it.
Sure it is nice to have that 4 when you do need it, but the chances of that happening are too slim for my tastes. Procs are a dps tool, not a tanking tool. We cannot take a chance when our lives are on the line. Do what we know works, not flip a coin.
My 2cents.
edit: apologies... the dodge was in reference to 'goose and of course has nothing to do with the AP bonus of 'sader
Which is why I am using 20agi on my avoidance weap and potency on my threat weap

Well, I guess for a threat weap a proc may not be a bad thing... /shrug
Like I said... 3 years of druids not having procs kinda burned certain things into my mind. It will take a while for this dog to learn the new tricks.
But I still stand by what I said about defensive enchants... procs are not a dps tool, not a tanking tool
Threat -- 'sader (till the proc is useless)
Avoidance -- 20agi

Well that's just sad that a TBC enchant is leading the pack.PsiVen wrote:

Curious... why did you choose the guardian? I mean... sure, lots of SP, but the dps is abysmal.
edit: meh... your spreadsheet... wont ask you to explain your reasons here.

Even though it's a spell damage weapon It was the highest TPS weapon in beta. Not but by a huge amount but it still wins.Ivohnix wrote:PsiVen wrote:
