When to take two healers - Metrics?

Howdy

Like most guilds, we started off with three healers in ZA.

Question is, when do we transition to two healers?

We are currently sitting on around 5k dps and have three healers at +1800, +2000 and +2100 heals.

Thoughts? We do carry a SPriest as well.

My guild continued doing Bear runs with 3 healers the whole time, gave more room for oopsies, and the healers (except for paladin >.>) are able to do some light DPS.

Smite spam, Wrath spam, LB spam.

To us it was pretty obvious when the two tanks HP do not dip below 20-30% on any of the fights sub out a healer.

You dont need the healer and the extra dps will make stuff die so much quicker and reduce the healing load anyhow.

Everything matters, not just the healers. The DPS has to be good and the tanks have to be good. Just try it out and see how it goes.

I always did ZA with 3 healers-- until me and my Healbot girlfriend geared up to the BT level. We run kara with 1 healer and 2 is usually enough for ZA with nearly any group.

Honestly, if everyone know's what's going on, any group can do it with 2. We've gotten a bear mount running with our alts.

Post patch- i'd assume its stupidly easy now and 2 will be fine in any case.

Lately i'be been doing ZA with just 1 healer.

The ammount of healing on the healers sounds ok, but u also need to know what kinda regen they have, even if you do have 1 sp.

We zerged through ZA last night with a group that *probably* could not have killed ZJ a week ago (alts and a rather bad group make up). It was about on par with 2.4 lower Kara in difficulty.

15 seconds into eagle:

"Anyone have their ambiance up?"

*silence*

*more silence*

"He's nearly dead...."

Yeah.... he died just as the first storm hit. LOL.

Dragonhawk went down so fast that all the dragonhawks on the 'second' side popped before the second hatchers came out.

Hex Lord got two spirit bolt cycles after all the adds were dead.

Seriously, a lot like lower Kara in difficulty.

On the plus side, where during our bear runs I'd have to take a mana pot on every cool down, I took ONE all night... We did not have a ret pally, a spriest, or a shunter. Sanctuary is pretty amazing.
