Challenge: The Shattered Halls

This challenge is to clear the Shattered Halls... by yourself. Rather than a time-based competition, this one is just to see how much you can actually do. Any pots/tactics are permitted; the only requirement is that no other players are in the instance helping or buffing you at all. Note that if you fail to kill all of the mobs in a pull, they will ALL respawn!

lol insane, I would need more block value before I attmepted this, and just better gear overall I think.

Grand Warlock Nethekurse is impossible. If you can solo him I will bow down before you as a god.


Since I've already done the other pulls, I'm going to clear with a couple friends from here and see what if anything is harder.

Interesting. We were running to the first heroic boss today to finish a guys kara quest he'd had for months. It was the first time I'd tanked it and we're like "this is way to easy, something is wrong". Yah, non-heroic aoe tanking in full epics is so silly.

PsiVen, have you considered trying Nethekurse with max Shadow Resist? Was it his enrage that killed you,or did you go down before that?

I'm guessing the "(0:02)" meant he was in combat for 2 minutes

That just means he was dead for 2 seconds when the screenshot was taken. Based on his chat log, he was in combat for 2 minutes and 29 seconds.

yeah i dunno what (0:02) is

but his eavesdrop says 109.5s in combat, so only 1 min ~50s

I never brought him below 97% health. Every Death Coil fully healed him, and with 150 SR I was taking a lot of damage due to his shadow strike and deathcoil through void zones. I do have 365 SR gear, but I doubt it would help since he'd be able to hurt me with melee attacks if my block went any lower.

Well, first two legionnaires down to me, I'll figure out how to post my pictures later. Acolytes are a pain in the rear. Lots of thanks to Psiven for some strategy ideas.

Frist two legionare's down. Died on the first 5 pull after that because I had the wrong guy targetted and kept getting scattershotted. Will try again at some point.

Had 500 block value and no resist gear.
