Human racial isn't enough?

Here's a report from magtheridon, I'm a human and my MH is Merciless Glad Gavel.

So, my weaponskill is 355, yet I get 12% parry? Seems like I will have to get WE after all.

Racial isn't enough it seems.

It is currently not known if Weapon skill decreases your chance to be parried or not. A CM has indicated that it does, while in-game testing has indicated that it doesn't (IIRC).

Yet, 12% parry is insanely much.

12% parry is pretty standard for bosses. It's also worth noting that we have an Orc Warrior MT using The Brutalizer for a total of 360 axe skill, and he still gets parried about 12% of the time.

I'm convinced that weapon skill does nothing for parry, even if it's supposed to.
