Would be awesome if the list could be updated - it will give other people who might have been unaware more information to argue for their decisions :) I'm unsure what to choose myself, so i want to read other peoples opinions.

Please update the list, thanks:

okay okay

engi looks BLEH, bs has gem slots

engi goggles may be 72, but im assuming the mats needed probably come from lvl 80 heroics IE primal nether ?

should i drop engi for mining now and get it lvled up pre xpac launch?

For TBC I've had Alchemy & Herbalism the whole time both of which I enjoyed, had fun with and made a ton of money with playing the AH game as well. My Lvl 70 Hunter alt my only other 70 is a double gatherer as a Miner/Skinner for reasons of pure AH economics.

Though Alchemy still need more love I'm going to stick with it because I actually enjoy it as well as it has it's usefullness. Plus as far as economics it's made me a ton of money before and it will again. I enjoy the AH game.

Herbalism though fun i will be dropping it and pick up mining on my Main. At least the HP buff be more valuable on my Paladin than on my Hunter alt. I'll just have my alt Hunter drop his Mining for Herbalism. So basically it's just switching professions on characters.

Having Mining on my Main allows me to mine more to get the things I need crafted leveling up without relying on anyone or having to keep switching back and forth to my alt. As well I can make effective use of Transmuting Titanium & Titansteel both with Alchemy and Mining. Both of which I see will be expensive as well as profitable venture.

I just want to clear up some confusion. The new Leg Armor kits are NOT Leatherworking only. Only Fur Linings.

I'm going to Mining - Bsmithing

500HP + 60 more which is like 650 HP with talents so 1150HP Total.

Now Fur Linings do not stack with Enchanter enchants of bracers so a non-leatherworker could get the 16 stamina 20ish talented so another 200HP.

So a person with Mining/Bsmithing will get around 1350HP total.

Leatherworker/Bsmith would get 1000 + 650 HP =1650 total. a 300ish difference.

So Leatherworking/Bsmith combo I would believe to be the best combo but that requires a toon that can Skin/Mine for you.

I am aware my math could be wrong, I'm to tired and lazy to do the correct math but I'm sure using the best of gems available and enchants you get a general idea the difference.

Are Armour smiths guna get anything good? Or are the guna be as meh as now? Ooo i can make totally useless upgradeable chest :)

If Weapon smiths can make upgradeable weapons why cant AS's make good upgradeable pieces? currently in wrath we can make epic boots and helms, seeing theve given us a chest in bc give us 3 upgradeable chest in wrath wich are comparable to the weapons WS's get.

No upgradeable weapons yet, as well as no special AS stuff.

Feels like alot of people missunderstood things, or i have.

As far as i know LW = a pure 72 sta bonus, as someone above said, the leg enchant wont be a bonus compared to the BOE one.

JC - as far as i know, u can only use 1 41 stamina gem, since they are unique equipped? I'm not sure what other gems tehre is(think there is a parry and a dodge one aswell, so in the end i dunno the exact benefits from JC, if we are comparing to pure stamina alternatives like LW)

BS - as far as i know u need to be armorsmith to get 2 extra armor sockets. And Weaponsmith to get an extra weapon socket. Also THERE might be a meta socket as far as i've read. Anyway 2 sockets with armor, 1 with weapon - my question though is that if its possible to get a socket in your weapon from weaponsmithing, and then change to armorsmithing :) Would be happy if someone could explain that to me, if the sockets is BS required, or specialisation required.

The new JC gems are "Unique-Equipped (3)"; you can have three of that type of gem, total, no matter which specific gem it is.

BS sockets to bracer and gloves are available to either spec. Armor/Weaponsmith specific bonuses aren't clear yet.
I don't play WoW any more.

Folks on EJ worked it out something along these lines:

JC >>>>>> BS = LW = Insc = Ench

If I remember the post correctly.

Just about finished with the JC powerlevel, figure that everyone will wish to resocket TBC gear as they level up with the new green quality gems so gold should be a stead income.

Hmm dont get that, how can JC be superior? I mean if we are talking Only tankadin, u can have 3 gems, thats like 33 stamina. Thats even worse than mining.

For paladins and warriors BS (2 sockets) and LW (bracer enchant) will be the best. Personally I'll go with BS/enchanting just because I like enchanting and it's not that far behind (ring enchants).
For bears enchanting and LW will be best since you can't create an extra socket slot to a 2h weapon for some reason, and tanking weapons are usually 2h for bears.

Engineering looks to be completely useless for now (sure the hats are nice, but in the end it only replaces a drop and the other professions will get BOE patterns -> BOP items too probably) and JC will lose a lot of it's appeal when you start gearing up and better trinkets drop, and when epic gems appear. In the short term they might be usefull though.

I'm currently mining and eng, but i plan on dropping eng for bs as soon as i get a decent replacement for the goggles. after I grind up bs to max i might end up dropping mining for jc, not sure yet.
