Mid-core tanking gear

i play with 4 irl friends and we more-or-less instance hopping are way throught levels atm one of them is a Enh shami and quite alot of the time she pulls thret from mobs.

Is there any gear i should be looking out for for spell dmg and whatnot? or should i just wate for me to be deeper down the prot tree

If you're only 26 and leveling a prot, just stack stamina. It's really all you need. Until outlands and lvl 70 you should be able to hold threat fine with your base abilities unless your friends have crazy gear.

Get defense and SD if it pops up, but there is very little in the form of mail/plate until outlands.

that is normal because of the way shammy threat works.
