Any tips on heroic Durnholde/Old Hillsbrad?

Mainly having issues w/ the gauntlet after rescuing Thrall. He's an asshole and doesn't like to focus fire and keeps getting his ass killed it seems.

Tell your dps to assist Thrall. Have a mage sheep one of the others. On the Tarren Mill trash (everything after the second boss), a warlock can safely keep one chain-feared. Put (lesser) Blessing of Kings on Thrall (and Power Word: Fortitude if you have a priest).

You can also taunt off thrall if u have him as target, but if thrall dies here it means that ur dps is slacking.

Arg I hate Hero Old Hillsbrad...

the worst part IMO is the Dragonkin waves before the last boss. How the do you handle it?

Usually Thrall can take 1 wave easily, but then the 2nd wave comes from the far left and sometimes aggros onto your DPS, or worse healer. I think one time I ran and waited for where they spawned and then tried to tank them all but took to much damage. Better geared now so it might work better... but those waves are tough.

Thrall can safely tank one dragonkin each wave and they are vulnerable to stun, fear and sleep. If you can't handle tanking them all, kiting might work as well.

For the dragonkin - Get the caster first.... big nasty shadow bolts. Watch out for the 60 second 50% healing debuff. When you are on the last dragon for each wave walk it over to near where the next group spawn before killing it. That way you are in position to consecrate the next group as soon as they spawn.

Tell your DPS to burn the Mages fast because they have some nasty fire spells that can bring thrall or your party down really fast.

The last group has 2 Mages so it gets really hard before the boss.
