Mgt (Heroic) ?

Ive tanked MgT normal a couple of times now but as we all know there are no tanking gear drops in normal mode.

Obviously the trinket is the main goal.

Do you think I would do ok with the standard group, Warlock, Mage, Rogue and Healer?

You're looking pretty good. Your health a little on the low end, but the priest buff and kings should cover that up quickly.

Heroic MgT is only really difficult if you don't have proper CC.

My best group for it consists of Resto Druid, Warlock, Mage, Shadow Priest and of course myself.

Have the mage poly 1 of the healers (Blood Knight or Physican) if there are 2 in the mob group. Otherwise poly something else.

Have the Spriest mind control of the healers (Blood Knight or Physican).
The Blood Knight heals for about 14 - 15k and deals out decent DPS.

Have the warlock banish/enslave the demons.

I find that they're the most reliable CC in heroic MgT.

A rogue would be helpful too since sap last about 40 seconds.
and Hunter's are good for kiting the phoenix at the Kael fight.

As long as you have a good mix of your CC and they know what they are doing, you'll be fine. 2nd and 3rd bosses are the hardest IMHO.

Thank you for your advice, ive followd the guides on here but getting heroic badges is slow going as Ive only just joined a Kara guild.

Have the warlock break out the felhunter on the 2nd boss and sic it on Vex (make sure "enemy buff / friend debuff - eating" is on autocast). Makes life a whole lot easier. :)

Ask the rogue to use Mind Numbing poison. It will be a slight dps loss for him, but makes a *huge* difference in the amount of damage you'll take. There are tons of caster mobs in MgT, and if they are all affected with the mind numbing debuff they will do significantly less damage. Also remind him to kick, kidney-shot and blind as much as possible.

MgT is really about keeping the mobs controlled as much as possible. CC is great, but also stuns, interrupts, etc will mean the different between a smooth run and continually wiping on trash.
