In the video, is the tank in healing gear, protection gear, or a mix of both? And if it's a mix of both, what would a sufficient +heals be for the holy part of the gear?

It looks like he is just in tanking gear, and the healing he gets from the Druid makes up for the mana loss he gets.

Let your priests do the MT-healing when the murlocs are about to spawn. Fade is absolutely amazing for that fight.

The trick is very doable in full tanking gear, where you might want to switch some of your gear for some extra spell damage at the cost of being uncrittable. If you have >300 spell dmg, you are definitely good to go to. Toss in a (G)BoL on the warlock you want to heal and spam FoL as soon as the Murlocs are incoming. Don't lose too much +sta though, as two full groups of Murlocs are definitely going to give you some damage. A reactive healer on you, might get you killed then if you are still learning the fight (so make sure he is going to heal you actively). Also, just walk a bit backwards after the group from the rear is incoming, to prevent any hits from the back and you are good to go.

Also, although you have a good point, I won't advice people to use priests as MT healers here. First of all from our experience with Morogrim, Paladin healers can easily continue to heal without getting aggro, where if they get aggro, they can easily take some of the hits of one group and bring them to the consecration area, where the paladin tank is picking them up (I mean holy paladins are famous of two things: single target healing and able to take some blows, how much more of a paladin task do you want them to have in this fight?) Of course, fade can do the same, but I still have to encounter the first raider, that doesn't reckognize the wipes due to unfocussed people (priest not fading = kill) and getting Murlocs even on your maintank after someone else in the raid aggroed them and got killed in the neighborhood of your tank.

So, especially on learning encounters, do it the save way: let Paladins heal the MT and let your other healers stop for a moment there, so the paladin tank can pick the Murlocs up.

Kind regards,
