What enchant for prot now then??

A mongoose or strength enchant would work reasonably well. I'm sure there will be something new in wotlk unveiled when more profession info comes out.

My duo-boxed mage has Crusader. I was thinking of putting that on quest weapons I get as I level. (I can farm the orbs and LBS easy enough).

An upgrade would be awesome.

Well at 70 you only get 66 str instead of 100, so if they keep a similar progression then by 80 it'd only be worth 33 str when it procs, right? If so it seems to me that Potency or Savagery would be a better bet.

I hope they make a new crusader-enchant
heal on proc and str bonus would be nice balanced for lvl80
(or maybe mana on proc with str bonus? )

Potency is not as good as Spellpower.

Mongoose is our avoidance enchant.

Executioner isn't gonna cut it; most of our threat is Holy and ignores armor totally.

We'll have to wait and see what new enchants they come up with (or whether some old ones get updated or not).

So far it shows these (leaving out spirit, healing, int ones)

Exceptional Agility - 26 Agility
Exceptional Spell Power - 55 Spell Power
Exeptional Striking - +10 weapon dmg
Greater Savagery - 90 Attack Power
Icebreaker - Sometimes inflict fire damage (Fiery 2.0)
Lifeward - Sometimes heal you

Looks like Greater Savagery will end up being a good all around threat enchant. So far AP will be as effective as SP for threat, and this gives more of it than the spell power enchant. There will surely be a lot more than this list too.

Hmm. If Greater Savagery is not only for two-handed weapons as I had assumed, it'll probably be the enchant to go for.

It won't help ShoR, but at least it'll give a bonus to HotR, something Exceptional Spellpower won't.

http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?spell=44630 - currently seems Greater Savagery is usable on 1H weapons too. It does not show a 2H weapon as a requirement in the tooltip. The first comment says that also.

But what about going into the xpac.. i doubt G-savage will be on trainers for lvl 375 to pick up right away.

well the only duel purpose stats i can see as a weapon enchant are agility and strength, agility will up crit chance on hammer and shield punch and maybe judgments.
