Essence of Anger Double Soul Scream

I found something really odd in my WWS parse of RoS last night

Is Soul Scream supposed to hit you twice in the same second like that? The behavoir seems a little odd to me

Edit, it happened again. Actually it happened every time she Soul Screamed.

I believe it does that every time.

The first hit is the base damage, and the second hit is the power-burn damage which is sort of like a proc from the first.

If you were totally mana-flat during a scream, that second hit would either be for 0 damage or it wouldn't happen at all.

That was the only crush of the whole fight. Holy Shield was up.

I think you should increase your +heal so Death heals you for more than 0

....but seriously, how long were you in phase 3 when you died? At some point the healers will be overwhelmed by the raid healing and wipe, but healing on the tank in particular (esp with a Tankadin) shouldn't be an issue unless you're getting to that point....you'd have to provide more combat log (or better yet, WWS) for us to really tell what's going on though.

EoA was at about 60%.

So we were in Phase 3 for 47 seconds?

Man if you died due to a soul scream + crushing, that's 13k burst. Your healers failed HARD.

I never ever died on RoS. We wiped in p3 for multiple times, but never ever for tank death, even when i tanked with 15k hp as crushable and crittable.

I've picked up and tanked him in HEALING gear and been kept up fine.

Strange... EoA crushes you for 6337, but his normal hit would cause me around 6k (while blocked). Anyway, 2 holy pals' non-stop HL spam should keep you up and other healers should concentrate on the raid. And your raid members should learn to use health stones.

Strange... EoA crushes you for 6337, but his normal hit would cause me around 6k (while blocked). Anyway, 2 holy pals' non-stop HL spam should keep you up and other healers should concentrate on the raid. And your raid members should learn to use health stones.

It's jsut the wide damage range. I've had 9k crushings and 10k hits from Teron.

Has this fight been nerfed recently (past 6 months)? All of the stuff i have read on this fight makes it seem very challenging yet we downed RoS on our 2nd guild attempt last night with only 1 death in p3. Maybe its all the welfare badge epics making these fights ridiculously easy. With enough avoidance (aka not a full rage bar from gettin smacked) i think our warrior MT only took 1 soul scream over 1.5k
