Well, as long as there is actually a place for something, I've got no problem locking/moving extra threads that are in the wrong place. I'll set this up in a minute.
All I meant was that the existing Weekend Successes thread is opt-in instead of mandatory. Which means it's kinda meaningless to have a main thread if people keep posting new ones.
So, yay for moderation!

I'll be locking new threads that belong there and directing the posters to that thread from now on. Hopefully that'll help keep things a little more organized around here >.>

This is why I like Lore.
This is why I'm a humorless feminist. Because rape jokes killed my sense of humor.

You've probably seen far more than I did.
I came to wow around one year ago. My little knowledge of the game has made my leveling pretty hard (far easier to level my hunter).
I took paladin in order to be something like the lord protector, the holy knight that can jump in the dangerous area and protection his foes.
Well, I just gave up protection because at the start, the use of redoubt and the few first talents is just useless and I leveled as retrib.
Before tBC came out, I tried again the protection tree, but I guess that without dedicated gear the spec is pretty useless (I wasn't paying much attention to all that defense stats by that time).
Reading some post about prot. pally, I started to gather some gear and jumped into a while after I dinged 70. Starting with less than 400 defense and few spell damage makes it being some sort of challenge - or it sounded to me like it was.
We don't have all the tools a warrior or bear have for tanking. Consecration isn't specifically for protection tree. Remember when it was in the holy tree ?
So, figuring out how to tank and managing it is somewhat a challenge. Plus the fact that you have to make your own way of tanking. We're not warriors. I remember instances where the RL just made as if I was a warrior. We not only have to know how to tank with our particularities, but we also have to explain the others that may already doubt about pally tanking and doubt even more because we're not going to do as the usual.
For all those reason, there's a gap when it comes to tanking. Much more than when I went from retri to holy.
