Rek in WOTLK
Now that i guess STR and high dps weapons are in.... is rek a sweet talent?
Even if it is... do we have enought new threat abilities where its pointless?

Was Reckoning ever not a sweet talent?
As for the high DPS weapon part, that doesn't really make Reckoning worth it, since white damage has no threat multiplier, and the one ability that relies on weapon damage is on a strict six second cd.

Be careful when you argue with trolls, lest you become one.

reckonning will be ok for leveling beyond that i don't know.
We are going warrior gear based but that doesn't change that our threat is holy damage and reckonning is reliant on being hit. So the talent remains as useful as it was in TBC. There are simply better places to spend talent points in my honest opinion...1h spec for instance should be better since we get atleast 2 more buttons to press..

What is this reckoning you are talking about?

Why do we assume that JoW is always going to be up?
I'd say that's only a safe assumption if there's more than 1 Paladin.
I know there be a lot of times that I will prefer JoJ to JoW.

Dang, and I thought I read these threads closely enough. What's different about JoJ?

If we decide to use a Holy off-tree.
I'm still not sure what I want to do with my spec.
I want Deflection and Imp LoH both are mutually exclusive if trying to maintain any decent amount of talents in Prot.

JoJ still stops runners right?

I guess? I haven't used it in forever, aside from the PvP I rarely do.

Hammer of Wrath and Hammer of Justice also stop runners.
I did JoJ a bit leveling up, but I've never done it inside a 70 instance.

I haven't JoJ'd outside of PvP since I last tanked BRD...
I can't even think of a single instance where mobs flee, and 95% of pulls in TBC instances are pulled to a location that you can AoE fear safely. No way is a runner getting to aggro anything.
Reckoning absolutely blows away iSoR on multiple mob pulls and outscales 1HWS in those situations when JoW is a factor. I think it's a pretty clear choice going into Naxx, assuming you can actually spare ANY points for ANY of those three talents. Bloat ftw.

SLabs has some fleeing mobs, but that's the only place I can think of. I think the last time I used JoJ in PvE was in scarlet monastery, runners just aren't really a dungeon mechanics anymore except under circumstances that aren't helped by JoJ (Dragonhawk/Kalecgos trash)
As for Reck in general, that's still an open question. If SoV/SoR weaving is the way to go, Reck loses a bunch of its value.
