Strange WotLK healing item

Now here's an odd duck:

I haven't seen anything to indicate spirit will become useful for Holy Pallies, is something being changed for Shaman? Even still...it's obviously a Pally/Shaman shared item....so I wonder what's in store for Holy Pallies and spriit in WotLK?

I heard somewhere Holy Paladins will benefit from Spirit more. I don't know where though, or if it was in Trade chat or what.

I think after seeing the new badge gear and brutal sets, I've given up on the idea of Blizzard ever making any high level gear look good again.

But on a more serious note, it would be interesting to see what changes are in store for the whole spirit and mana regen mechanics, as they were broken for a long long time and I'd imagine blizzard still have some tweaking to do.

Spirit's always at least a little helpful, especially with Discipline Priests on the rise to make Imp DS more common.

Seriously Discipline tree is so hot now...

Imp DS was nerfed to 6%. Disc is looking hot now, but not because of Imp DS, and it doesn't explain the appearance of Spirit on a Shaman/Pally item.

All I know is that improved divine spirit = free 20 spell damage, and that full on discipline priests may very well have their raid slot as the crithealers since it gives the tank so many hot bonuses + higher 25%armor uptime

Yes, yes...Disc is awesome and I think most 25 man raids will want a Disc Priest now....but that's irrelevant to the topic at hand.

It's certainly possible that they're looking to add more spirit functionality to pally/shaman healers. Seems more Shaman-style than Paladin, I think.

Lore, you're silly. Blizzard always knows best. You're probably one of those silly people who think a blue could be better than epic with the same level req!

In all seriousness, that's weird. Holy pallies and resto shamans basically never leave the 5SR or have talents to boost spirit regen while casting. Either they're planning something or it's a mistake.
