Illidan Down eta till Kalecgos?

We have be buying part cleared bt/mh with hearts. Lots of people can clear 1st 4 in MH and not worth our raid time to clear them. We have killed illian 7 times and still don't have dps for kalecgos. We have hit enrage a couple times but not until like 7 or 8 minutes into the fight, we are taking to long.

We had 1 month 3 weeks between our Illidan and Kalecgos Firsts, however with a lot of downtime due to Summer / Football Championships and other crap. So 1 Month is definitely doable.

Just echoing again, Kalecgos isn't the gear check, Brutallus is.

Although Kalecgos has some really good gear, so if you can kill him I see no reason not to. He's also got the longest trash clear in the instance, which means highest chance for trash epics.

i do agree if you can kill him do some.more loot=faster progress on the rest of sunwell. and if you can get the gear from him now why wait

We downed kalecgos for the first time last night - roughly 5 weeks after downing illidan for the first time. Took 2 nights (well 1 night a week for two weeks) to get everything sorted and work out what we were doing, but tbh once you've seen the fight and worked out how it works it's pretty straightforward to do.

For info - I tanked the dragon form for the entire fight in about 190 arcane res. Seemed to make the transitions between tanks and healers a lot easier.

There is nothing stoping you from killing kaelcgos the same week u kill illidan, aslong as you have 3 tanks that are basically fully geared and your healers are in decent gear then you should be able to kill, just have to learn the fight really imo there is no point waiting before you move on to sunwell , push for the kaelcgos kill and this will help you gear up alot faster for brute.
