Alar with 3 tanks?

Postby antiy4ho0 » Sun Jul 06, 2008 3:33 am

We've been usually running with 5 and not having any rotations, we have a tank on each platform and one at the bottom gathering adds. Tonight we were short a tank so we were doing the normal rotations, but for some reason one of the tanks died each attempt, so it ended up being me and a warrior tanking from 70% P1 to 0% the first time and we wiped during P2, so we go again and same thing happens. Warrior dies around 60-70% and me and the other guy 2 tank the platforms, had to burn a shadow fiend once or twice but overall it felt pretty smooth.

Does anyone do this regularly? It didn't seem so bad and having only 3 tanks in TK seems better as there isn't a whole lot to do. It also makes A'lar a lot more fun up on those platforms

Three tanks is pretty standard for Al'ar.

Doable with some eye.

It's doable even with just 2 and some headache pills.

2 tanks up on the ramp + one down picking up adds works well. He always lands on the same 2 spots when he comes down so there is almost no need for that.

Once 2 tanks up on the hill died and a druid single tanked him from 40% -> 0% with sprint + swiftness + charge. Battleresed a second tank later but wasn't enough with him dieing again to a crushing.
