badge chests
ok so i just got up to 96 badges and have fallen into some really good loots lately, so it seems things are stacking up for me finally XD. i was wondering which i should buy, the 75 badge (chestgaurd of the stoic gaurdian) or the 100badge (chestgaurd of stoicism) srry for the not linking, im a forum noob lol. So anyway, i was going to purchase the 100 badge one when a friend of mine said i should go for the 75 badge one to a) save badges and b) it had more stam (when gemmed) and more dodge. Also, a bonus is that it has less defense rating, which i am bloated on (515 atm) cuz im trying to get a good avoidance trinket. Im confused in the specifics and need help.

75 badge chest without a question. the 100 badge one has no threat stats and has less stamina (if gemmed with stam gems). It has higher avoidance but otherwise, nothing much. the 75 badge one will last you until Illidan favors you finally.

There are two 100 badge plate tanking chestpieces. There's a warrior based one with awesome avoidance and mitigation (Chestplate of Stoicism), as well as a pally based one with spelldamage and wasted itemization on spell hit (a whopping 34). The 75 badge chestpiece has both avoidance and spelldamage and is a better overall chestpiece (due in part to the higher stam as Sel pointed out).
If you have badges to burn you might be well off getting both the 100 badge chestpieces for tweaking different sets, but for your main tanking set I'd stick to the 75 badge chestpiece.

I went with the 100 badge chest myself. The one with no spell damage. At the time I got it for the avoidance upgrade so I could afford to replace my cloak and ring after that and not be forced to regem for uncrushability.
I've had some second thoughts as my spell damage is not where I'd like it to be. Still using that Crystalforged Sword and just went from D3 shoulders to Stone Resolve. Overall though I've been happy with it. I have bags full of spell damage food and the summer food to push my spell damage up a bit while I wait for a new weapon to drop of finally convince my self to grind out that last 5k honor for a gavel.

well but you probably wont be in T4 content forever, and later on you will need spelldmg, and this chest can serve you very well through all the content including BT, and if illidan wont like you,you might wear it into swp even.deadpyrowalking wrote:but one thing is that i already have about 360 spelldmg unbuffed because of other items i ahve including the amani punisher i just won in ZA, so i am not in need of spelldmg at this point (my guild is still only on gruuls)
I say, get the 75 one!

Ok attempted derailment here
but assuming you had free badges but could only own 1 of each item type witch pieces of the new tanking gear would everyone see you sporting?
