Nothrend: 10 more talent points.

Something I was thinking of was in the expansion, if the new talents suck, some good alts. for them.

Offtank build:
Divine Intellect
Improved Seal of Righteousness
Healing Light
Aura Mastery
Improved Lay on Hands
Illumination
Divine Favor
Sanctified Light
Purifying Powe
Holy Power4/5
Light's Grace
Holy Shock
Blessed Life
Holy Total: 38

Protection
Redoubt
Toughness
Blessing of Kings
Improved Righteous Fury
Shield Specialization
Anticipation
Spell Warding
Blessing of Sanctuary
Sacred Duty
One-Handed Weapon Specialization 3/5
Improved Holy Shield
Holy Shield
Protection Total: 33

Sacrifices AD for Blessed Life and Light's Grace: How will that turn out? Seems, on paper, like it'd be a great OT or Tank/Healer spec. Holy Shock will be for ranged pulling and for a good chunk of burst aggro. It should offset the loss of imp judgement, tho nothing will really offset the loss of 5/5 parry. BL may be a 10% proc -- you can prolly count it as a striaght out 5% reduction - but, it seems like it'd be a bit more damage reduced overall than AD.

Still the Mt build:
Protection
Redoubt
Guardian's Favor
Toughness
Blessing of Kings
Improved Righteous Fury
Shield Specialization
Anticipation
Spell Warding
Blessing of Sanctuary
Reckoning
Sacred Duty
One-Handed Weapon Specialization
Improved Holy Shield
Holy Shield
Ardent Defender
Avenger's Shield
Protection Total: 48

Retribution
Benediction
Improved Judgement
Improved Seal of the Crusader
Deflection
Conviction 2/5
Crusade
Sanctity Aura
Improved Sanctity Aura
Retribution Total: 23

The main cookie cutter build now w/ SA goodness: +15% more aggro over the current incarnation at level 60 of the buiild. Conviction is there because I needed points to get to the next tier. This build is assuming that Santified Crusader goes to a tier 2. If not, prolly take out conviction and Imp SotC for Imp BoM for raid utility.

Still the MT Modified build:
Holy
Divine Intellect
Improved Seal of Righteousness
Improved Lay on Hands
Holy Total: 12

Protection
Redoubt
Precision
Toughness
Blessing of Kings
Improved Righteous Fury
Shield Specialization
Anticipation
Spell Warding
Blessing of Sanctuary
Reckoning
Sacred Duty
One-Handed Weapon Specialization
Improved Holy Shield
Holy Shield
Ardent Defender
Avenger's Shield
Protection Total: 47

Retribution
Benediction
Improved Judgement
Deflection
Retribution Total: 12

Trades in the +15% damage from above for a personal devo aura, reck, emergency imp LoH for an OHSHI button, while still maintaing the good stuff. I think someone said before that Imp SoR is only about a 6% threat boost and reck is 5%, so combine those two and you're only 4% behind the SA build.

A Paladin's fury is a quiet, solemn thing, ever a hair before the bloodlust of a Warrior or the ferocity of a beast. But it holds his foes just the same.

What if the talents rock?

Not to mention the upheaval I foresee in our talent trees as they stand. I'm not even trying to theorize what our trees are going to look like on release day of WoTLK.
Arthas, we're coming for you. (Eventually)

While i doubt there will be no new talent to grab my attention, if there isn't i will be getting Divine int., Imp. SoR (or spiritual focus, not sure yet) and then Imp. LoH. That armour bonus is too hot not to have.

Given how nice *most* of the 31 to 41 talent points were across most trees, not to mention the extras added in either early in the trees or at 31 point level - I seriously doubt myself having free talent points to throw into other trees at that point.

Personally, I think it would be cool to leave 41 point talents, and give many more options for high tier talents. To the point where one person's 41/20 could have next to nothing in common with the next 41/20.

More than likely to continue building the trees height (depth?) rather than just bloating the top (bottom?).

Will probably add one more talent next to the current end, then build from there. The question is how much will they add to each tree?

The hard part for the designers will be coming up with the next 'oh wow, I gotta have that' end of tree talent.

So far most 1 point tank talents seems to be Threat talents... ( Shield Slam, Avenger Shield, Devastate )

51 Protection is going to be a special threat move ?

Or a special mitigation move. It could be another blessing. It could be a passive talent to help us tank things that we currently cannot. It could be an "oh shit" ability.

It could also be...

"Blessing of Gayness," "Seal of Ass-Clown," or "Douchebag Form." We won't know until Blizzard tells us.

Well put.

Though I've heard "uncomfirmed" that there wont be any new tiers added to our talent trees.
