Recount---other option?

Postby Peryl » Sun Jun 15, 2008 9:05 am

Hi All,

Does anyone know of a program to capture your combat logs? Something that would save your WOW combat logs to a .txt file would be perfect for me. The goal is to see what happened to me in instances.

I've downloaded recount and have been fooling with it, and it would work (I think) Except I crashed twice adventuring while running it.

Anyway, I'm going to keep fooling with it. I also disconnected once before I installed recount so I'm not sure if it's my connection or settings or just a bad day. But if I could find something simpler that would be great.

Thanks in advance.

um, it comes with wow.

1) in wow type /combatlog
2) go to install folder (usually c:\program files\world of warcraft)
3) go to logs folder (logs)
4) find "wowcombatlog.txt"

Thats your combat log in a file.

you might want to use free features of wws (http://wowwebstats.com)

If, like me, you keep forgetting to type "/combatlog" all the time then download Loggerhead from WoWAce.com to do it for you.
