Who is the best geared prot paladin u have seen?

I am one of the best geared pally tank on our server. Im ret spec for Brutalis atm, though should be prot again this weekend for felmyst. In aoe gear Im at 19k hp 700 bv and 850 spell dmg, with 2 trinkets to proc. In my avoidance gear im at 20k HP 34% dodge 21% parry 17% block with 450 bv and 450 spell dmg. In hp gear I reach 22k hp with slightly less avoidance.


Checking Ossuary's armor... Now he is geared out. 2 drops off of Mu'ru, the rest out of sunwell and top BT. Tempist of chaos. Very nice gear, dont like his spec personally. about the only time i die is from spell dmg, need that spell warding.

incidentally, i cant see his spec, maybe people should be looking at what talents he chose, instead of the ones he didnt?

Understand:
0/1 Kings -> a holy must have it

5/5 Rekoning -> threat increase

2/5 Toughness -> Maybe if he's only taking spell damage


Don't understand:
4/5 Anticipation -> No such thing as extra defense in Sunwell, unless he doesn't go near a boss

0/2 Spell Warding -> Contradicts the reasoning behind Toughness

2/3 PoJ -> Needs more speed to pickup adds?


Just my opinion of course.

It's a really awful spec, it's hard to come up with reasons for it. Toughness is one of our best talents and as you say if it's just magic damage in the encounter then spell warding would be taken. 2/3 POJ is especially fail, either get all 3 points or use Boar's Speed.

Felmyst maybe? The skellies don't hit that hard.
Yeah, I'm reaching. ^_^;

Felmyst is all about armor and BV (at least P2 where we come in).
Boar's speed on boots is more than enough for running (hell even without speed enchs you'd do fine).

Felmyst is all about stacking 900 spell damage and doing 3000dps imo.

I agree with Atreidies, I wear Robes of Rhonin (cloth spell dmg chest from Archimonde), Shattered Sun Spell Dmg neck, the Spell dmg trinket from A'lar, and all my other spell dmg gear to stack as much spell dmg, for Felmyst p2, as possible.

They don't hit hard, and yea, topping the dps charts on that fight is win!

to avoid future piontless debate, you should ask if there are any better GEARED paladins, since people will argue that gear != skill all day long.

give oss a few weeks and i would expect him to be up there as one of the best geared, now that exodus is farming sunwell and im pretty sure hes the only tankadin. for other reference, just look up which guilds have downed kj, and browse through their paladins on armory, more likely than not they have a geared out tankadin.

This is win. Tbh though I really feel bad for this guy. That is the sad part about wow you can make it all the way to 70 and not have a clue about what's going on in this game. Now I am sure there are people saying "its his game let him play it how he wants." But that's not the case here. This is so awful that it's plain to see he hasn't the slightest about how the game works. Now I don't claim to know that much about this game but I could for sure help this guy out. Actually thinking about creating a toon on his server just to point him to this site.
