Threat rocket build

I just finished leveling my human paladin, I'm considering this build:

I took the cookie-cutter 49/12 build, dropped Ardent Defender, Precision and 2/5 Deflection for Divine Int and Imp SoR.

He's currently in quest greens (I never hit any dungeons with him, just raced to 70), and in his ret spec (wearing tank gear) his defense is 465 and he consumes 87% of the attack table with Holy Shield active (that is, if he was spec that way).

While reviewing this spec, consider:
* I don't care about "uncrushable". I will not be raiding on this character.
* I have 2 fire mages and 2 UA/Ruin warlocks who are itching to do the rep race with me in front of them, so threat is extremely important.
* Human paladin, mining/BS, gonna craft Boots of the Protector as soon as I get 375 BS and 2 Primal Nethers

I welcome any discussion you may have regarding this spec I'm about to try.

Hopefully you know a good healer as well.

Salving your DPS and bumping your spell damage a bit is more than enough to AOE instances. You'll be able to go as fast as your mana pool and your healer can keep up. If your DPS is also still repping up, they probably aren't about 1200 spell damage, so the basic gear should be fine.

But again, it comes down to your healer. Tank and DPS are only two legs of the triangle.

Anyway, if you're focusing purely on non-heroic 5-mans for rep, that seems pretty solid. I would consider dropping Spell Warding for Guardian's Favor, and maybe the rest of Deflection to get Imp HoJ.

That's my template for a build based purely on threat gen. 2 points free for whatever, probably 2/5 Deflection.

I would probably put one of those points into finishing out Sacred Duty
