Doublechecking of math
Just looking for someone to doublecheck my math, to make sure that i'm doing this right.
I'm going to be replacing my legs tonight with the Unwavering Legguards. Currently have the t4 legs. I plan on using 3 +12 stam gems.
Unwavering Legguards (w/ gems and nethercleft):
+149 sta
+22 defense
+30 block rating
T4 Legs (w/ nethercleft):
+86 sta
+31 defense
+31 parry
So, if my math is right... this is the differences
+ 770 hp (w/sacred duty and combat experience)
-9 defense (less the 1% avoidence, not sure on the specific number)
-31 parry (1.3% avoidence @ 23.7 parry = 1%)
+ 30 block rating (3.7% avoidence @ 7.9 br = 1%)
so in all, I'm gaining a ton of health and about 2% avoidence. Does that look right? Thanks!
And my armor, if it matters... http://www.wowarmory.com/character-shee ... n=Lancelet

I don't know where the 770 hp is coming from really, I come out at 79.38 stam with kings and 73.08 without.
9 defense rating equals 3.75 defense ~0.6% uncrushability. All the rest is correct apart from the fact that you don't actually win 2% avoidance, but 2% towards uncrushability, avoidance is avoiding a hit completely.
All in all, yes Unwavering >> T4. Personally I don't like any of the tier legs, except maybe T6, not all that much stamina and almost no sockets.

er, yea, hp.... fixed the typo :-p
Ok, so how I figured teh 770 hp. 1 sta is 10 hp, correct? The legs with +12 sta gems and nethercleft will give me in total +149 sta. 149*10=1490 hp. T4 is +86 sta w/ nethercleft, 860 hp. 1490-860= 630. So the badge legs will give me 630 more hp then t4, before talents.
I guess I did do the sacred duty and combat experience backwards... it's 1.166*sta, not hp... so the badge legs will be 173 sta, and t4 will be 100 sta. So it's 1730-1000, which gives you 730 additional hp. Or did I screw that up somewhere?

Don't you wanna get the 2.4 legs?
Seeing that you got the t4 legs you should be past Gruul and be uncrushable anyways? I don't see any reason why you would go for the Unweavering over the 2.4 ones right now... Enlighten me
(First post btw, finally got bored enough register, soooo... Hi! ;p)

So the way I see it, the Unwaivering Legguards are significant upgrades in terms of survivability. You will generally expect to take more damage each time a boss swings (you're giving up 1.46% parry, .15% Dodge, .15% miss in exchange for BR) but your increased HP pool will make these larger hits less threatening.
That being said, however, your best bet is probably the 2.4 legs. These things are upgrades in every way over what you have now. They are more expensive, but I would rather spend 100 badges on something that I likely won't replace until WotLK than spend them on something that I will evetually upgrade out of.
