It's actually pretty cool.
It can be interupted by: gouge, blind, ks, druid thingy, mages thingies, HoJ, cleanse, think grounding totem grabs it too maybe, ete etc etc etc.

I'd like to throw in a quick plug for Decursive here. If you're not familiar with it, it's a simple mod that shows a series of small squares representing your party or raid. If a debuff that can be Cleansed is on a party/raid member, the square for them will appear red. Left-click, instant Cleanse, your target never changes. It's one of the most essential mods I have, honestly. I had an entire raid group swear Moroes' Blind debuff wasn't Cleansible, and I actually had to argue that I'd been Cleansing it for weeks.

There are also options for Dispell Magic, Remove Curse, etc, for the appropriate classes. It's available from Curse Gaming, I believe, but their site is acting screwy so I can't link it right now. I can't recommend this mod strongly enough- try it out, and never let a debuff go uncleansed again.

DPS classes do interrupt. I don't believe in those.

any of those channeled spells with the beam can be cleansed.

Mind Flay, Drain Life, Drain Mana, Drain Soul, they're all considered debuffs/DoTs and not direct damage.

What worried me was everyone going on about arcane resistance and I was scratching my head I dont ever remember being hit by much arcane in heroic bot I know the end boss does it on tank and a couple of the mechos but is it that bad?

Before 2.1, arcane resistance helped a good deal in both Botanica and Mechanar (since the patrolling robots used to melee for Arcane damage).

Nowadays, however, the only place where I'd wear some AR stuff is the Kalecgos fight (and maybe the second boss in MgT heroic).
