Yeah seriously, do you really need all of that stuff?

If so please explain what these do:
!Swatter
+Wowhead_Looter
af_tooltip
aUF_BarFader
aUF_Layouts
CallOfElements
CandyBar
CastYeller
CECB_*
CEnemyCastbar
ClearFont2
CompostLib
CooldownCount
CoolcownTimer2
CraftList2
Deformat
DoubleWide
EngBags
EnhTooltip
FishingAce
GFW_ReagentCost
HitsMode
Informant
Interface
Lightheaded_*
LootFilter
Manufac
Parrot (isn't this broken?)
ParserLib
Prat_* (isn't this broken?)
ProximityLib
Proximo (isn't version #2 out)
RatingBuster
SSPVP
SSPVP2
StinkyQueue
StinkyQueue2
Stubby

I have no idea what function most of those perform.

On mods like Atlas, Cartographer, FuBar, Lightheaded and Quartz where they have mutliple "sub-folders" do you really need all of the extra add-ons?

!Swatter -- Auctioneer
+Wowhead_Looter -- Wowhead addon for getting information on wowhead
af_tooltip -- Tooltip mod, change the color/shape/whatever
aUF_BarFader -- Addon for agUnitFrames
aUF_Layouts -- See above
CallOfElements -- Shaman mod I believe
CandyBar -- Ace library for drawing progress bars
CastYeller
CECB_* -- natur Enemy cast bars, tracks cooldowns, and cast times. Lots of use in PvE and PvP. Broke as of 2.4, new version isn't out yet but is being worked on.
CEnemyCastbar -- Parent mod for natur
ClearFont2 -- Changes the ingame font, not needed but if you like having fancy fonts or even just change to something easier for you to read.
CompostLib -- Ace library
CooldownCount -- Adds a cooldown count to your action buttons, better than the visual spinner
CoolcownTimer2
CraftList2 -- Auto tell mod, keeps track of your crafts and lets people see what you can make. Good if you are an enchanter and don't like tells "Do you have X?" and "What are the mats for Y?"
Deformat -- Ace library
DoubleWide -- Makes the quest log 2 panels big. One side for quests, other for the quest text, much easier to read your quests.
EngBags -- Bag mod, rearrange your bags on the fly depending on their type
EnhTooltip -- Auctioneer
FishingAce -- Fishing mod I assume
GFW_ReagentCost -- Finds the average cost of creating a crafted item (and enchanting stuff I believe) using the AH prices
HitsMode -- Combat Log or something to that effect
Informant -- Auctioneer
Interface
Lightheaded_* -- Quest tracker, has all quest data for those level ranges for each faction, good if you dont want to alt tab to wow head all the time
LootFilter
Manufac
Parrot (isn't this broken?)
ParserLib
Prat_* (isn't this broken?) -- My version works fine
ProximityLib -- ProximoLib I believe
Proximo (isn't version #2 out) -- Folder never changed
RatingBuster -- Ratings to percents = ez math
SSPVP
SSPVP2
StinkyQueue
StinkyQueue2
Stubby -- Auctioneer

If you load addons without externals you get overall faster login times. Basically it takes all the library references out of the toc files and the libraries sit in the main dir.
If you load with externals the game tries to load each library as it encounters it, if it finds a newer version it over writes it (this is an ace thing) if it doesn't it ignores the information, problem is it still loaded all the code, taking extra time for every folder it encounters.
So every addon that uses Ace2, has to load that file into memory n times.

As far having extra folders, it lets you pick and choose your addons, for lightheaded if your just questing at 70 you dont need any of the data from 1 to 69, that will use extra memory that you dont need. Disable or delete them and then enable them for an alt if you start leveling.

That said I need to clear out all my libraries and addons I don't use much, I'm getting lower than I would like FPS. I use them because I'm an information whore.

That's generally a good sign to backup your addons and start deleting until you remove something you actually miss :P

Thanks for the info on the mods guys, almost all of them are explained.

So with that in mind, the way I see it he has:
- A few mods that are currently broken
- A few mods that replace some of the broken ones
- A few mods that do similiar functions

So why wouldn't "you" go through and delete the broken mods or the mods that have been replaced and then go through the mods that do similiar things and delete all but the one you like best?

You'll have to excuse my mod "noobness" as I only run with:
Omen
DBM
Eavesdrop
Recount
Grid
ArcHud2
Pally Power
Tankadin
Itemrack
CT_Core
CT_Expense
CT_Map
CT_Raid (mostly disabled)

And shockingly the Blizzard UI.
I'm way too indecisive to try a custom UI even though there is some wasted space on my Bliz UI and buttons that I don't use much.
