Looking for a mod

I am looking for a mod or possibly one i can modify (I am a programmer I would just do the code if I had the time).

Basically I want to know how many @#%&ing critters I have killed with my Avenger's shield.

We all have done it line up the perfect throw and whamp the shield goes flying in some crazy direction missing one of the targets because a spider was behind a rock.
The idea came to me doing Mana Tombs when my party members started counting the number of critters I killed in that run. It has become a running joke now, and I was thinking it would be neat if I had a talley.
