Tankadin Addon Idea

I'm a software coder myself, but I don't really have time to learn LUA (what a screwed up language!), I do have an idea for a rather simple addon.

I want a simple small addon that does the following, screen space should be optimized and minimized.

* It shows a color, green for OK and red if something is wrong. An example of something wrong would be RF missing, or if you are in raid, any of the raid buffs missing (kings, fortitude, intbuff etc). A mouseover will display a text with what you are missing. If you have salvation, it should also show red.

It could have a small simple TPS counter (using ace2 threat lib). It could have a small counter for how many times AD has kicked in.

It could show you total mob(s) DPS on YOU.

It should be easily to toggle on and off, I like the PallyPower little button that you can toggle it on and off with, and move around like that. Cause sometimes im not tanking, and do not want those warnings.

I've been pondering some of the same things myself. I am not sure I would have it turn out the way you did, but something close.

1) Simple uncrushability report to stop the endless "am i uncrushable" question that is oriented specifically towards the tankadin and doesn't skip over any of the elements that go into the equation.

2) Auto-clear salvation

3) Righteous Fury monitor and alert

4) Ardent defender watcher

5) Enemy Attack Speed monitor - to bitch at your fellow warriors

6) TPS report - using Threat1.0 from ace, just another front-end, so I don't need omen up on my screen if I dont want it. <3 office space.

7) Enemy parry warning?

spiritual attunement monitor? report?

etc.

Yes there are a lot of specific Tankadin issues that you could place monitors on, right now I have several different mods to handle various things, one unified mod to save screen space would be nice.

I got kind of excited about this, might start working on it myself if i get some time, also have a guild mate that has done some mods in the past that might be able to help me out.

Yes, not bad at all, but I'm not sure if watching the uncrushable status is something i need, i just hit holy shield and a macro for that (no screen space at all needed).

No the Ace dependency isnt a problem

Personally, I like the updated function for ace addons. That alone is usually enough to make me pick an ace addon over another. I like being able to easily update everything quickly.
