Tankpoints a viable addon?

I downloaded tankpoints just to see what it was like, but the math inside it is a little confusing. It shows me as having a 10% chase to have my target miss me, when everyone I talk to says 5%.. Just wondering if the math is fubar for tankadins.

It's 5% base plus miss chance from defense.

So if when I hover over defense, it says 5.80%, my actual miss % is 10.80?

ive been doing miss(from def) + dodge + parry + block ~ 102.4%

but if what you say is right then i have a base +miss% of 5 so my actual avoidance is about 107.4% ??

Sure unless you were using Tank Points which does that already.

Looking at your armory....yes, you're 5% over uncrushable.

Yes please remember that a mob has a base chance of missing you by 5%, then you add in what you get from Defense on top of that. Looks like you can change out some of your gear to get more health now if you wanted too.

so just to be clear, when you set tankpoints to bossvalues(against a lvl 73 mob) if you are at 100%(when hitting holy shield of course) you're basically uncrushable. k.

If you hit Holy Shield and point your mouse over "Melee DR", there will be the chance to be crushed (at the buttom of the tooltip).
