Suggestions for what to bind to mouse scroll?

Greetings.
My scroll wheel currently zooms in/out and it never occured to me that I could use modifiers to bind other things there.
My initial thoughts were to perhaps bind Next/Prev Target to shft+scroll to make it easier to quickly shift target in a group of mobs.
How do you use your mouse scroll wheel?

Not so much a suggestion but a "what I do".

Believe it or not, Avenger's sheild is bound to Shift+ScrollUp and Holy Wrath is bound to Shift+ScrollDown.

On my warrior, when HS/Cleave were spammable, it was mousewheel up for HS, mousewheel down for Cleave.

On my shaman, it's mousewheel up for Lightning Bolt, mousewheel down for refreshing whichever shield is appropriate for the spec I'm in.

On my paladin, it's... nothing. There's nothing spammable (although 3s cooldown CS/HotR isn't so far off I suppose) and I've got most things keybound elsewhere. Maybe Rocket Boots (belt, whatever) and Parachute Cloak deserve a shift+mousewheel binding each. Rebuke might make it to a mousewheel binding next patch.

I forgot that with clique you can distinguish between friendly and enemy units, so if I scroll up (as ret, and soon as prot) over an enemy it casts rebuke.

Thumbscroll "up" will be my rebuke button.
I dont like having rotation buttons binded to my mouse otherwise, except on my healer, since you heal with the mouse on grid all the time.

I used to use that a lot but the option seemed to have disappeared with the Cata version. Is it hidden somewhere ?

after you make a binding, you can right click on it and change to what it applies for. There are about 5 different options. One is friendly target and one is enemy target.

For raid frames, I use the following clique bindings:

Mousewheel up is Hand of Salvation
Mousewheel press is my Righteous Defense macro (this is great when you have aggro frames turned on and you just mousewheel click on the raid frame to pull the mobs to you)
Mousewheel Down is Cleanse

I have some other mouse buttons I use for Hand of Protection and Lay on Hands.

That macro hasn't been needed for a while; the default spell does the same thing as the macro now. Also, I use the side mouse button and grid + clique to do what you're talking about

Not that this directly relates to the topic but is similar:

I use my mouse thumb buttons and leave the scroll wheel to zoom. I have a 3 button Logitech mouse (the third button is not standard for windows so if you get one I can show you how to set that up properly) so this is how I have it set up:

The middle larger button are my taunts: regular click is Righteous Defense, alt/shift/ctrl (whatever u prefer, i use alt) click is hand of reckoning.
The closer/first button are my heals: regular click is word of glory, alt click is lay on hands
The further/last button are my mitigations: regular click is divine protection, alt click is guardian of the ancient kings.

Just in case you were wondering, ardent defender is F. I used to have alt 3rd mouse button be it, but with it and ancient kings having equal cool down timers, you should use ancient more than AD. So AD is F since it needs to be something you need to click faster than any other ability if your about to die.

as far as mouse buttons go i got the scroll wheel click bound to my hammer of wrath macro
for pvp i can see great potential using scroll up as a rebuke key, and scroll down as focus rebuke as you need some fast reactions to use that succesfully
