Skada Question

My hard drive croaked the day before 4.01, so I'm taking the opportunity to redo my add-ons.
I used to use Recount but am now trying out Skada, and I'm not taking to the interface well...

What I want is for Skada to be a damage meter when I'm out of combat, and a threat meter when
I'm in combat. I found a setting called "Combat Mode" or something like that and played around
with it but it didn't do what I thought it would.

Can somebody break down the things I need to do to set up mode switching, if it's not too much
trouble? I can post my current settings and some screenshots if that would make it easier.

What I want is for Skada to be a damage meter when I'm out of combat, and a threat meter when I'm in combat.

Set your Skada window to "Current" and select "Threat". You may need to set this up while on trash, which if you have another tank, shouldn't be an issue. In your options, select your "Mode Switching" to "Damage Done" while out of combat.

I actually have 2 windows running with Skada:

First: Threat (no Mode Switching) <<< always lists threat
Second: Damage Done (combat), Healing + Absorbs (out of combat)
