Who Taunted
Hey All,
I thought to post this since I didn't see it or anything else like it in here and I apologize if it's in an old thread that I missed.
Have any of you run into clowns in raids or 5 mans that taunt mobs either for fun or just because some form of taunt happens to be "part of their rotation"? I ran into this myself with a group of people that found it funny to pull aggro on trash pulls and then complain about "the bad tank, low threat, etc". Typically I'd just let them die, but there's still that part of me that felt the need to vindicate myself that it wasn't my threat that was the problem.
I did some quick research and found this:
http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info14842-WhoTaunted.html
It does a good job of announcing who taunted, what they taunted, and what ability they used. It's very easy to configure and can be set up to announce in raid, party, or raid warning. Aside from using it to call people out, it's been helpful in announcing if one of my taunts misses. I set that up to announce in /RW so people know one mob may be loose and to pay attention to throw heals elsewhere or CC.

Ardent Defender does this as well, I believe.

It does.
Mine is configured to tell just me, but can be configured for public humiliation if you want.

I've been using Taunt_tattle http://www.wowace.com/addons/taunt_tattle/ for nearly a year now and it tells me what I want to know in my chat window.
I particularly like his mod named Train Conductor http://www.wowace.com/addons/train-conductor/ that rats on the player who drops a train set.

It supports all Warrior, Paladin, Druid and Death Knight taunts as of 3.0.8. It will tell you who taunted, what taunt they used, and the target of their taunt. For AOE taunts, it will simply say who did it. This was built just to give a non-obtrusive quick look in raids at who is taunting.

I've used ThatJustHappened to do the same thing.

I've also been using Taunt Tattle for quite a bit(Since Naxx in Wrath). I'm happy with it.
A wise and frugal government which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government. – Thomas Jefferson
