App to Parse and Filter the CombatLog

Postby earanduin » Wed Sep 30, 2009 7:02 am

I am looking for an app that will allow me to search the combat log and extract only data that concerns me (i.e. every line of text that has Earanduin in it gets extracted). I'm on a Mac but can use Windows if the need is there.

world of logs has this functionality if you want to upload them. Otherwise you'll need a "grep" tool. Here's a windows tool http://www.wingrep.com/ ; I hear MacOS is based on *nix, so it may have a built in command? A google search for mac grep brings up this 2002 article on mac OSX command line tools: http://www.macobserver.com/tips/macosxc ... 1004.shtml
