PA has saved my raid SOOOOO many times. I have often found that in my rush to get up and running after a wipe, I would forget to throw on RF...not any more. Now I have Vindication tracked (since it has been reported as being missed from time to time), JoL and JoW debuffs (so I can see what Judgement i need to use just a bit more easily), and Indestructible Pot usage. Im bound to add more as time goes on, though the one I wish I could make was a warning in raids when Sense Undead is off, but so far it seems impossible.

Hey everyone, long time reader, first time poster =) I'm not too savvy with PA strings and have been using most of the ones here, so I figured coming back here would be a good idea for these.

Does anyone have PA strings for the following boss debuffs:

Swarming Shadows (sp?) and the brain link of Blood Queen?
Stacking debuffs (both melee and caster) on Sindragosa
and LK Necrotic Plague.

I'm especially looking for the last one as I promised my guild I'd search for it and post a string to make our phase 1 a little cleaner.

You can manually adjust the visual aura, and it also has a sound effect that plays on infection.

Based on my limited understanding you would need to know the specific name of each possible debuff, i.e. what it reads when you mouseover the debuff icon. Clearly a bit of work for PvE. On page 2 of this thread there is an example covering a good number of debuffs -- looks to be PvP.

The version of PAC I'm using definitely has a box you can put values into to match part of the tooltip text. I can't say I've ever used it and gotten it to work, but it's there and might work if you poked at it more than I did.

This has been driving me bat shit crazy. It used to work, but then it broke somehow.

On my resto shaman, how do I get Earth Shield to display a graphic when it has dropped off my FOCUSED target? If somebody has a string, I'll be eternally grateful. I have tried just about everything and can't get the buggery thing working.

Edit: Please don't name another addon to install for this. I don't want to install another addon just for one simple thing.

...works for me, popping up a big obnoxious ES icon when all the charges are used up on my focus target. Bear in mind when testing it out that it doesn't really work if you set yourself as focus.

This only seems to work sometimes for me. I can see the shields falling off my target, but the icon doesn't always pop up right away, sometimes not at all. Was it like this for you?

In all honesty I just knocked that up quickly because I *used* to have a similar string but stopped using it. That one worked perfectly fine, but it was a good two months ago. So I only verified the quoted string above by tooling around in Ironforge and moving my ES on/off focused targets etc. I use TotemTimers to monitor ES/ES/Totem uptimes and durations and it pipes out a warning through MSBT's notification area when the ES is removed completely, so I don't use that string in actual groups.

Although now that you mention it, the Water Shield notifcation I threw together was acting pretty screwily until I just disabled it, too.

Heh, that's odd. I can get water shields notifications working just fine. It just seems to be anything that I focus that bugs out sometimes.

Does anyone have any strings for Deathbringer Saurfang debuffs and such? I know that DBM and BigWigs post them to the chat window, but you know it's nice to have the warning pop.

Is it possible to have power auras display the time remaining on, say, Sunder Armor? I've been gearing up my friend's warrior and I haaaaaaate watching Sunder Armor. I'd like to know when it is nearing expiration without looking at my target's debuffs. Is this possible?

I imagine so. I use this for Flame Shock on my shaman. Just have a visual for the debuff and attach a timer to it based on the spell (last tab in the config menu.)

This may have been answered before but is there any way to make the divine plea aura not display if it's currently on cooldown? I run into this alot with trash pulls if they are spaced far enough apart yet divine plea itself is still on cooldown.

I'm having the toughest time getting Eternal Glory to make a little icon pop up. I can see my Holy Power instantly refresh itself but I'd like an icon to bonk me over the head that the HoPo is available again. It shows up in the combat log as "Palatinus gains 2 Holy Power from Palatinus's Eternal Glory" and clicking on Eternal Glory it says Instant Restores the Holy Power spent on Word of Glory.

I've included my Sacred Duty and Holy Shield strings as a gift offering. Sacred Duty active and Holy Shield off.

There's strings to track Holy Power on the PowerAura wiki.
They had the good idea to make it play a sound when you reach 3 HoPo, it really helps to keep the rhythm of the rotation.

Not shown in the picture: There's warnings for when I don't have a Seal up, for when Righteous Fury is down and I'm Prot spec, and for when I've got Crusader Aura up while in an instance; all three of these warnings also don't display while in a city or while mounted. Avenger's Shield shows Exorcism (Technically Art of War) instead when I'm Ret, while Ardent Defender shows Zealotry instead. Sacred Duty is also not shown, but that's because I don't have anything set up for it.

Abilities become red when not usable, and show a timer remaining until they're usable. Exception would be Art of War when I'm Ret, which instead shows how much time is left before the proc expires. The bar with the red square shows how much Holy Power I have, adding a yellow square for two Holy Power, and adding a green square for three Holy Power, it also plays a "Ding!" sound when I reach three Holy Power. In addition, Hand of Light is shown by an extra pair of square brackets around the bar, as well as playing a "Ka-ching!" sound when it procs. Hammer of Wrath also only shows up when it's on cooldown or if it's usable (target is below 20% and/or Avenging Wrath is up as Ret). I apologize in advance to the more OCD types as the positions on the abilities aren't all at the exact same distance. Deal with it.

The longer cooldowns (larger icons) only show when they're ready to be used or active, including a timer on how long they'll still stay up when active.

Spec 1 is assumed to be Prot, spec 2 is assumed to be Ret. The entire thing (Except for how much Holy Power you have) also hides when out of combat.

Basic design idea blatantly stolen from what one of my guild members tells me is "The Ultimate Shaman Auras", does it count as stealing if you give credit? I have no idea!

[Power Auras] 4.x Exports Thread

The only thread I could find that attempted to do this was *way* old, so I figured I'd make a new one.

For those who don't know, Power Auras allows you to import/export settings to make it easy to implement new auras. It's as easy as a copypasta, and kinda nice, considering that some of the more complex auras you can make require a bit of know-how and expertise with the addon.

With the advent of Holy Power, I've found that no unit frame mod is really giving me what I want to display it and keep it in my face. Stand-alone mods are not my preference and PA is something I already have installed, so I figured I would configure mine to handle Holy Power accumulation.

Here's a screenshot of it in action:

The Holy Power portion is the yellow circle in the middle of the screen. It builds from the bottom-left wedge counter clockwise, and pulses on the screen.

The "Firin' mah laz0rz" face below that is my indicator is my Sacred Duty proc notification.

The nice thing about this is that you can import and get the functionality that I have above, but you can change the icons and placement to be whatever you want. Much easier than figuring it out from scratch, especially if you're a PA novice.

Let's get a string of PA Exports going so we can share some of the neat things we've done with this mod.

Try to include:
1. Summary of the goal of your export.
2. Screenshot of your export.
3. Description of all items related to the export in the screenshot.
4. Export of the PA (use the CODE button up top)
5. Anything else pertinent to the setup.

Hehe, we had the very same idea: I did exactly the same aura with that Radioactive-ish animation in my first version of Power Auras Holy Power :D

But then I noticed that I don't like too much things overlapping my char so I switched to this serie of Auras that pop-up just above the action bars (note as I use a custom bar setup the position my appear a bit odd to you but, as the OP said, you can easily edit and reposition them)

I thought I'd contribute since I've learned a great deal from the forums here. :D I've already updated to Power Auras 4.1 so here are corresponding auras.

I made 3 similar ones for my Holy Power. I prefer not to cover my avatar with Holy Power markers. I was going for traffic signal theme for this one. Each Holy Power lights up from left to right.
