Hi there and welcome to the Shockwave recruitment thread.

First of all a little about us:
We are a relatively small group of people who transferred to alliance side Runetotem shortly before the end of WoTLK with the intent of becoming a serious 10m raiding guild in Cata. We are aiming high for progression content and hard mode/heroic kills while keeping the excellent social atmosphere we set out to create when the guild was formed. We consider ourselves a semi-hardcore guild in that we won't be staying up for 4 hours past raid end time to get the server first but we will do things like extend raids for 30 mins if it means a kill that we're close to.

Our raid times:
Shockwave aims to raid Sunday to Thursday 2100-0000 server time
We ask that members attend 3/5 raids a week

What we expect of our applicants/members:
The guild ethos is very much based around 'bring the player, not the gear'. Obviously it's nice to have a geared up toon but if you don't have the skills to wield it correctly all that gear is as good as useless. To that extent we would happily take someone with experience and a promising attitude over someone with none but a buttload of purplez .
We don't expect absolute min/maxing but the capability to do the maximum your character is capable of is fairly essential for the goals of the guild.

Who are we looking for?
If you think that you would fit in with us at Shockwave then feel free to drop us an application. All applicants are carefully considered and even if your class or spec isn't currently required we will always consider excellent applications. Currently we would also be happy to see rerolls if that's what the player really wants, the new expansion has offered everyone the opportunity at a fresh start should they so wish it.
