[A-EU-PVE][Unity Path][11/12 HM][GotIR / Insanity]
Hi there!
Who are we?
Unity Path are a raid guild on Earthen Ring. ER is a RP server and while we are not roleplayers, we do respect the policies of the realm. Unity Path started out in 2005 as a "Raid Group" and still has some members of the group whom remain outside the guild. This sort of thing is rather common on RP realms, yet is not on others and so deserves a mention.
Unity Path is very much a "leave your crap at the door, and pick it up again when you leave" raid force - it runs on mutual respect on people being able getting the job done and making equal effort, however we do not expect everyone to skip smiling hand in hand through an instance. However, we work as a team and the team is always the most important consideration. If you do right by the team, the team will do right by you and everyone gets a fair crack of the whip.
A brief history:
As mentioned, Unity Path have been on the server since 2005 and have consistently been among the top 5 guilds/groups on the realm. Currently WoW-Progress lists us as Rank 1 on our realm.
During Vanilla Unity Path cleared everything up to and including the Twin Emperors in AQ40, and ventured into Naxxramas defeating some of the initial bosses.
Scaling down to the 25-man raiding scene of the expansion brought about some positive changes that saw us finish The Burning Crusade with the furthest pre-patch progression on Earthen Ring, being the only group to kill M'uru as the fight stood before 3.0, and finishing Sunwell first on the server.
WotLK has been a rollercoaster of a journey which, after a slow start, showed us climbing from third, to second, and finally first on the server. We share a (hopefully) friendly rivalry with a Horde guild on our realm whom we compete with for the realm first spot.
Notable achievements during WotLK include GotUR (10+25), GotIR (10+25), Celestial Defender and Death's Demise.
When do we raid?
We raid 25-man content up to 5 nights a week, Wednesday through to Sunday inclusive, with Monday/Tuesday often being completely void of any activity to allow the batteries to recharge. That said, 10-man action often happens on these offdays for those who just dont want to wait until the following Wednesday for their raiding fix. We aim to keep an active membership of circa 50 people to provide strength in depth and avoiding classic raiding burnout.
What about the loots??
We operate a fair rotational policy and there is no loot council - DKP is God, and you purchase what you want. DKP is given on time spent raiding in a given week, not which raid night you attend.
What are the expectations of applicants?
While each role within the group has slightly different requirements for their applicants there are several which are universal. The following are some examples:
> At least 3 nights availability. The more flexible you are with this, the better.
> A sound knowledge of your class. Keeping up with relevant theorycrafting as changes are made.
> A friendly, mature attitude.
> Able to take criticism.
> Our main focus is on the ICC 25 (Heroic), your gear and experience must allow you to be competitive in this environment.
Sounds great! Are you recruiting my class?
