<Something Wicked> looking for a few skilled players. Successful applicants will be specced properly at the time of application and have their gear gemmed/enchanted as if they were raid ready.

We do consider how well you are geared, but that is a secondary issue to your ability to demonstrate you understand the mechanics of your class. DPS applicants should be prepared to provide a recent DPS parse.

About You:
*You play the game for progression, but don't have either the time, or the desire to raid on a full time schedule.
*You expect raids to start on time, you log on early to make sure that happens.
*You have no complaints about using consumables, and you expect others to use as many as you do.
*You understand if you don't log in, other people do, and they have an expectation that you will as well.
*You are proficient with your computer, and can navigate and use both a standard guild site, and some way of keeping your mods up to date.
*You think disconnecting/crashing regularly is unacceptable and will fix it without prodding.


Raid Schedule:
Wednesday - Thursday - Sunday
7:00pm to 11:00pm CST (server time)
Optional off nights are done for 10 mans.

Deathknights: 1 - Blood*
Druids: 1 - Cat or Moonkin*
Hunters: Closed*
Mages: Closed*
Paladins: 1 - Ret Only
Priests: Closed*
Rogues: 1*
Shaman: 1- Resto*

Warriors: Closed*

* - We are looking for 3-4 members, one ranged, 1-2 melee and one healer. If your class isn't explicitly open feel free to apply.

Loot Rules:
We use a custom system based on your ratio of loot received to your hours raided with the guild. This has the advantage of quickly allowing newer members to become competitive, while rewarding high attendance. 75%+ attendance is expected of members.

Additional information:
The guild is located on the Malfurion-US server, a PvE-CST realm with a decent Horde/Alliance balance.

Something Wicked is currently competing with several guilds for the server first heroic-25 Lich King kill. In the ToGC-25 blitz, SW is responsible for the Alliance-first Northrend Beasts kill, server-first Lord Jaraxxus kill, and Alliance-first Anub'arak kill. We achieved the Alliance-first Professor Putricide kill, Blood Wing clear, and Sindragosa kills as well, and hold all Malfurion-Alliance first kills for ICC-25 hard modes.

The culture of Something Wicked is professional, friendly, and stable. The guild was established in mid-2006 and celebrated its 3rd anniversary with a guild meet-up in Las Vegas in June 2009.

Raids are 4 hours from start to finish, and rarely extend more than 5-10 minutes past the scheduled end. I can count the times in the past 2 years that I've been asked to stay past raid end for additional pulls on one hand.

We do need a mage for 2 hours! We also need a mage for another 2 hours, immediately before or after those 2 hours. Especially so if said mage can play as fire effectively.

3. Set up macro for to /target Cathmor target then Scorch, Living Bomb, Pyroblast if available, Fireball to repeat
4. Set up water pecking bird to hit this macro repeatedly
5. Walk away and go make a sandwich
6. ???
7. Getz me epic lewtz and server first!

Updated. Need a healer (priest or druid) and a DPS (warlocks, rogues, mages, shadow priests...).

Edited the OP. We need a shadow priest or moonkin now, our 3% hit debuffer is currently covered by 2 part-timers.

Could also use another resto druid, our forest is kind of thin and while I don't mind speccing holy once in a while to cover a healing need, I'd much rather be hitting stuff.
