SoB breaks fear!!!!
Well at least a few fears anways
.
I have realized that the dmg done to yourself from SoB and JoB actually knocks you out of fear if the fear is in fact breakable by damage. Some examples are the Fel Overseers in Shadow Labs, the Champions in Slave Pens, and the Ogre-Priests in Gruul's Lair. Now I know this is in no way a sure thing since you can get fear right before you SoB or JoB can hit, but it has worked for me roughly 80% of the time.
Now if only Nightbane's fear broke from damage

If they would extend that gap intentionally to a half second or full second or so it might slightly help make up a little for Horde's lack of fear ward . . . maybe?

I'm one of those that thinks SoB has no benefit whatsoever, so . . . .

Think of a fight where aggro means absolutely nothing, like Curator. Pop on your King's Defender/Sun Eater/Blazeguard with Mongoose and add more avoidance to your tanking. Maulgar would work out too since no one should ever pull aggro off you until he fears you and starts charging people. That's when your spell damage weapon means little.

heh
If it damaged the caster as a DOT as well as damaging the victim as a DOT, it might not be so OP. Besides, realistically when is a non-holy paladin ever going to be OP in PVP?

Retribution in a 2v2 with 1500+ AP and 24% to crit when you're with a mage and you've got both Repentance, and HoJ isn't on cooldown....
